Squirrel

Rabbit Fur Gillet, Fleur Wood Top, Manning Cartell Skirt, Alexander Wang Boots, Manzoni Bag

Channelling a country look with vintage denim and tan today. Personally these neutral hues are my favourite to wear as they are really easy to integrate into any look due to their versatility in matching different tones. This fur seriously goes with anything from a slick black bodysuit to the most whimsical girly dresses. I'm surprised they (also have it in black as well) are still intact after thrashing it about on an almost daily basis through the winter seasons for the past 2-3 years.

These were really rushed pictures taken in about a 5 minute time slot before driving between classes today.
Don't know why all these post backgrounds have been so tree abundant as I probably only set my foot on grass probably twice a year at most. Not really a nature-seeking enthusiast.. Must say though, seeing squirrels overseas whizzing through parks with their acorns (is that what they eat?) were pretty darn cute. But I bloody hate the Australian equivalent of squirrels->possums, and they are everywhere! One seriously set its target and tried to attack me the other day. Forced me to let out a shrilling scream waking up the neighbourhood street and piercing the eardrums of people passing by. Possums and I have some unspoken hostility against each other.. And frogs.. gross.

J Brand Jeans, Wish Top, Lover Jacket, Michael Kors Watch, Nicholas Necklace, Fallon Earrings, Jimmy Choo Pumps

In contrast to the all-black attire yesterday, I wanted to brighten up my look today and when it comes to a sharp look for work, there is nothing more refreshing and crisp than a white suit. Admittedly this isn't really a suit as I just threw on a pair of jeans, old shirt and jacket from my wardrobe together to make a feeble attempt at what is my version of the much lust-worthy Givenchy Spring 2012 look.
I am dying to get my hands (or feet I should say) on those minimalist yet oh-so-sexy sandals but the $$$ is something that I can only dream about. Sigh...

Initially had a pair of simple strappy sandals with this outfit to get that similar look but forgot to change out of these more work-appropriate pumps for the photos sadly (still finding my way around perfecting this whole taking photos of outfits thing)
Speaking of which, it is SO awkward taking photos in public places! Especially when I'm not someone who is very comfortable having pictures taken of in the first place. Had so many strangers driving past giving 'what the hell are they doing?' stares as I struggled not to awkwardly laugh off the situation. In saying that though, a wonderful man came up to my boyfriend and me telling us he used to be a photographer back in the days when it was all done in film. He gave us some quick handy tips on how to use the camera and lens to achieve more desirable outcomes. These are the shots and we were pleasantly surprised by what we ended up with and I hope you guys all agree!

Let's start

J Brand Leather Pants, Acne Boots, Alice+Olivia fur jacket, Random Bag, Sportsgirl Beanie

Although we are only a few days away from 'official' winter here in Brisbane, the weather has only just started to get  cold and notably frisky in the early mornings. Today the skies seemed to be indecisive as to which climate it wanted to be set on, continually switching between clear blue sunshine and cloudy grey shadows. This is NOT GOOD for an indecisive person like me and moreso for the person who is waiting for me at wherever I am supposed to be. At the particular time I was getting dressed, the windows from my room framed a predictable forecast of an overcast rainy day, making me excited about busting into my new leather pants. Also couldn't go past popping on a favourite old beanie to keep me snug. However as soon as I left the house, the sun reappeared with no sign of rain and provided an unexpected warm and bright setting for these photos, making me look way too over-dressed for Brisbane daytime. Guess I can't complain about having good weather.. and all my friends know I always over-dress anyway. So nothing different here really!

First step forward

After a much-too-long period of time where I've pondered the possibility of having a blog, I have finally decided to start my cyber journey on this little website. Those who know me know that I am an extreeeemely lazy person and I've always casted doubts in my neurotic mind about how such a blog would be received. But alas, a wise saying goes 'as we grow older, it is not the things we did that we often regret, but the things we didn't do'. So this is thanks to all my wonderful supporting friends who have always been there to encourage me and give me the confidence to share my personal endeavours in  whatever catches my eye with whoever may come by.

This is in dedication to you all my much-needed pushers! This definitely would never have started otherwise. Hope you all enjoy! :)
