Speechless Inspo

It's been 3 months since I started this blog today and instead of shoving photos of me all the time on here, I believe it would be more beneficial (And pleasing to the eye) to post some awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping, sheer genius on here for inspiration or whatever you take away from it, but more so to make you stop breathing for that moment when you're hit with over-whelming brilliance.
These are my favourite shots from The Vogue 120: The Stylish Singers, Designers, Actors, Models, and More (Under 45) of the Moment photographed by Norman Jean Roy

What girl wouldn’t like a Dundas (with model Caroline Trentini, in Emilio Pucci) on her chaise longue? In a dull, double-dip world, he’s the man who has fought on the side of good-time dressing, turning Emilio Pucci into a hotbed of sophisticated sexiness. Trained in Parisian haute couture and sprung from Norway via America, he’s a cosmopolitan gentleman with a studio in the Florentine Palazzo Pucci and a very healthy twenty-first-century work ethic. Endless numbers of the supergorgeous are his friends.

None of these young designers—left to right, Rousteing of Balmain, Altuzarra, and Vaccarello (with models Chanel Iman, Kate Upton, and Candice Swanepoel)—shies away from worshipping the curves of a woman’s body, yet they’re not remotely interested in the clichés of “sexy.” If the clothes are hot, it’s simply because the heat flares up with the way they sculpt and shape and sinuously manipulate their silhouettes. It’s as much about empowerment as it is eroticization.

Florence Welch- Appearing in ethereal swaths of Gucci silk and Valentino lace because “they feel like they’re doing a performance of their own,” she enthralls devotees with her theatrical wardrobe as well as her soulful voice. The Pre-Raphaelite beauty credits “growing up around art history” (her mother is a Renaissance-studies professor) for her sense of artful drama, while Welch’s blend of British eccentricity—a mash-up of every era from the eighteenth century through the 1970s—flaunts a romantic unconventionality. “I like to imagine I’ll wear the things I’m buying now when I’m old and mad!” she says.

Ricardo Tisci of Givenchy and Roony Mara- She was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, who has since turned heads on the red carpet. He is The Boy with the Heart of Romantic Darkness, who has dramatically transformed Givenchy. One may act, the other design, but each never fails to remind us of why less obvious forms of beauty, not to mention the gritty and heady thrill of urban life, matter so very much.

Take a quick look at the designers driving American fashion—Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler, Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, and David Neville and Marcus Wainwright of Rag & Bone—and it’s clear two heads are better than one. “Divide and conquer,” says Neville. “That’s our motto.” Yet working in pairs isn’t the only thing that unites these highly individualized teams. They’re also blazing radical new trails toward redefining cool, whether it’s Proenza’s urgent, innovative polish, Rodarte’s imaginative romanticism, or Rag & Bone’s sporty-street mix.

My Personal Favourite designers of the moment: Olivier Rousteing of Balmain, Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci and Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy

Silhouette

Lover Dress, Vintage Belt, Zara Heels
It's definitely difficult to take clear photos during the night as I haven't invested in a good flash yet so I hope these don't strain your eyes too much.
This is an old-time favourite of mine and is literally one of the very first 'nice' pieces of clothing I bought when I was 17! Oh how long gone are those young, frivolous days.. or are they?
Lover proves over and over how timeless their creations always are and the curious ways in which your devoted love towards them  never depreciate in value

All Black

LNA Tee, Aje Leather Skirt, Alexander Wang 'Zoe' Loafers, 3.1 Philip Lim 'Pashli' Bag, Prada Sunglasses
This is definitely my go-to attire when I am in too much of a rush or days when I am wanting comfort over anything for the day- black on black on black on black.
I don't think I can ever fall out of love in wearing black

The last two photos are quick sneaky snaps that we took prancing around on the back of someone random's ute. The open platform on the back was just beckoning me to make a public fool of myself on it and certainly walkers-by did not seem too impressed. It seems I didn't get all my dancing out of my system from the weekend

Fleur

By Johnny Peplum Top, J Brand Jeans, Lovisa Necklace, Ellery Shoes

I wonder what it is about flowers that have such pulling power for girls. There is definitely an over-powering resurgence of floral prints around lately ranging from classic paisley prints, abstract, small print, large print, modern digi-floral.. and the list goes on.
I'm not entirely sure which 'genre' of floral types this would fit into. Interesting that the actual flowers are black and white though. I was drawn to this top more for the fresh colour that reminds me of the blue listerine mouth wash. ha! Makes me feel cool just from wearing it. Definitely going to be a regular for these hot days to come
Happy Monday!

Paradiso

Camilla and Marc Jeans, Willow Top, Zara Leather Jacket, Zimmermann Heels, Nine West Handbag
One of my best friends is back home from London and I couldn't fully express how excited I was to see her yesterday! Sadly only dwelling here for a month though 'til she flies right back over :(
Listening to all her stories involving the people, creativity, food, bars, bars and more bars, exciting opportunities and let's not forget the wicked parties made me beg her to smuggle me in her suitcase and take me back with her. She is one mega-talented lady and I am thrilled to see what the next few years ahead have installed for her as I know that she will be making striking progress in her fashion career.

But back to those of us who have to buy our way into some sense of style due to lack of knowledge in actual hand-crafting our own. Take note of this pattern- What a perfect way to get into the mood to plan a tropical getaway for the summer. With all the floral overload our eyes have been exposed to of late, Camilla and Marc have brainstormed out of the box to create this peak-a-boo avian print. Aren't these pants just a little too much fun?  Wearing them certainly makes you feel a little 'quack' (or whatever sound parrots make) too! haha

Unwinding

\
Sass and Bide Jacket
After a long day of getting through our daily duties, our bodies take enjoyment out of the most simple yet important activities in life. Sinking into a comfortable seat and resting our tired feet, sharing a nutritious home-cooked meal, feeling refreshed and squeaky clean from a long hot shower and being embraced by our closest and dearest.
I've only listed very few but let's try to not forget these simple pleasures in life and how lucky we are for having such privileges

New Babies

Alexander Wang 'Georgie' Loafer
I fell in irresistable LOVE when I saw these beauties a long time ago but they had sold out in my size at the time. Imagine how my eyes lit up when I saw them on the Outnet at a nicely discounted price too! Yippee!
They'll be happily wrapped around my feet by the end of the week hopefully if all goes according to plan!

New Metal

Guys, I didn't know about the chain jewellery store Lovisa until a couple of weeks ago when the girls showed it to me in Sydney. I couldn't believe all the pretty enticing things in there for such an awesome price range! I don't really have much jewellery as I've never been that into it and only pick things out from vintage stores.  But here is my very first purchase from them, do you like?? I though it looked pretty fun and the limey green is a perfect match with my new Karla Spetic pants of the same colour, woohoo!

Fly Away

Sass and Bide Trench, Wish Clutch, Miu Miu Shoes
This is one of my all time favourite items in my wardrobe- beautiful soft silk fabric that drapes perfectly around the body. It does it so well that I continued to wrap this trench coat into a dress with a bib collar/ cape which seems to capture the essence of the end of winter- to shield oneself from the faint chill that seems to linger but to have the leisure to enjoy the rays of the sun with out-stretched wings carrying the excitement and hope of what spring has to bring just around the corner

And to make things more exciting, today is Friday, hooray!
Happy weekend! xx

July Wrap

It's a bit late but here is a compilation of my favourite looks from July :)
