Slowly Crazy

Nina Maya Leather Skirt, Cooper St Jumper, Finder's Keepers Top, Zimmermann Heels, Old Earrings, YSL Ring and Prada Sunglasses

I have just started my new rotation for uni and let's just say that it is INSANE! in the literal sense..
I am instructed to adhere to a neat and modest dress code so for the time-being my outfits probably won't get too outrageous (apart from the weekends) but I couldn't resist to a little lacey twist at the back.
Conservative and modest still, right?

Chains and loopholes

Budoir by Disaya Dress, Tristan Blair Shoes
This is my go-to dress when I want to dress comfortably but still maintain a uniquely pretty aura about the way I carry myself for the rest of the day. It's a gorgeous delicate dress that I acquired years ago and is a timeless piece that I know will last through many years to come. The twisted knots and the petal loopholes along the neckline and arms add an interesting element to a simply-shaped smock which makes it a very tempting piece to wear day after day.

Sparrow

It’s been news for a while now but OMG. Did you guys know that Jonny Depp is Single?! Heartbreaking that such a gorgeous couple has come to an end but let’s be honest here and not hide our overwhelming excitement! Don’t even know her but already hate the next lucky b*itch who gets a piece of that purely from envy..
Ok, enough rant about an unrealistic Hollywood dream! I didn’t want to dress like a pirate this day but upon reflection the billowy oversized blouse, stony leather vest and barnacle studded belt with dashes of jewel tones really hint at me being some sort of marauder of the seven seas. There’s something about those features that are all appealing separately on their own, probably because of the ease at which you can wear them but still display an aura of laidback cool and when all thrown in together, you get asked whether you’re dressed for a costume party! Which was not the case for me..

Matador

Sumakhi Skirt, Vintage Belt and Necklace, Ellery Shoes, Old Top
This Red Skirt reminds me of the Red blanket that they use to seduce bulls with in a Spanish Matador bull fight. Rest assured I won't be doing anything of the sort
but the tight waist-fit and billowy silky flow brings out a flirtatious vibe in me haha

Lady of Leisure

Cameo Top, Old Silk Pants, Prada Sunglasses, Nicholas Necklace, Michael Kors Watch

Last week a few friends and I went down to the Coast where we enjoyed a night of cheeky mischief and giggles away from home. I got too carried away with all the fun and got punished by slicing my thumb open and consequently simple tasks like washing my hands poses to be a serious difficult activity right now
But on another note, how do you like my beachwear? Haha Don’t worry I know a furry top with silk pants is hardly suitable for the beach, this is just the morning after where I am still dressed in the previous night’s attire. It is winter here after all and we were never going to go near the water anyway. I don’t dress so out-of-place all the time..

Dampened feathers

My computer hasn’t been very cooperative of late and sadly I wasn’t able to keep the blog very up-to-date. But here is another outfit post from last week with all the Brisbane rain in the background. This week has been an intensely busy holiday week for me and I’m back at uni on Monday again. I actually think I’m more productive when I have many things on my plate rather than just one job. I shall try to keep this active so you don’t get too bored of waiting around!

Booky

Old Coat, Zara Jumper, Levi's Jeans, Tristan Blair Shoes, 3.1 Philip Lim Bag
Finding the inner nerd in me with the grandpa glasses and this preppy ensemble. Can’t vouch that looking this way actually makes you smarter because I’m pretty sure it was the worst day for study.. But on an educational note, a discount bookstore opened-up nearby recently and I went a little crazy, bought stacks of material to read and to get a little bit closer to completing all the penguin classics. I love fresh new books and I may put a personal book review up of a few of them if they are particularly impressionable. In my opinion, nothing beats the feeling of completion after physically turning paper pages right until the end of a book

Little Parisian

A little outfit that reminds me of a treasured friend who strides all over the world with her fabulous style and bubbly personality which undoubtedly rubs off on you. She's incredibly intelligent as well and after living in Paris for the last year, is ready to challenge herself in another part of the world.
I am in absolute admiration of her fearlessness and very jealous at the same time.
Love you little Jen xxx

Mute

Mesop Top, Sass and Bide Skirt, Camilla Skovgaard Heels

I'm so sorry for being a bit behind with the posting but I'm happy to say that my massive exam is over (well for now at least, we shall have to await the results in a few months time.. eep!) and I'm ready to party, Woo!

The next few posts will be back from this past week as I haven't had time to put them on the blog yet so this outfit is actually from Monday. I've been trying to shift through my wardrobe and make the most of all the old pieces I have in times when shopping is at a halt. this top is very very old indeed and I played around with it in the morning to give it this slit at the front. Do you like??

Barkin' up the tree

Shona Joy Top, Story by Tang Shorts, Topshop Heels, Oroton Sunglasses, Vintage Necklace

I spent Sunday afternoon literally playing in a park like I did when I was 7 years old, dancing around, climbing trees and laughing uncontrollably when unprovoked. The last picture perfectly shows the lowest part of it all when I was stuck up the tree for a while because I was afraid of hurting/breaking my ankles on the jump down. Not so much the pain that bothered me but the possibility of not being able to wear my shoes. The horror! haha
Aren't days when the sun is out supposed to be spent like this? The simple joys in life that you totally take for granted as a child.. like the fact that you can wear bright sleepwear-looking outfits out of the house as I did that day :)
