When this Lover dress was presented at Fashion Week last year, I was immediately drawn to this stunning serpent lace dress as it had a simple yet interesting design made from the most beautiful intricate French lace. Also, it was the first time Lover had worked a bold red colour scheme to their collection and since I am well stocked with black and white, I couldn’t go past getting this pretty number into my own collection.

I definitely wasn’t the only one who thought this. This dress sold out so quickly before it even reached the stores, I was kicking myself for hours for not pre-ordering it when I had the chance.

But when I really really want something, I really really want it. So I embarked on about an 8-hour dress hunt, literally calling every single store in Australia which stocked Lover trying to locate the dress that I obviously couldn’t live without. Just as I was about to give up hope after being rejected over and over again, an angelic shop assistant from a Melbourne boutique called me back to say that she had one for me! And the rest is history including a night where people thought I was a complete freak only wearing underwear beneath a totally see-through dress, but more on that story later.. Maybe..
